Y.R.U.U. (Young Religious Unitarian Universalists) is a youth group
from age 13-20. The Y.R.U.U. plan social activities, have fun, raise
funds, organize social action, and get together to share time and ideas.
Because the youth group leads and creates their own schedule, it tends
to be a rather flexible thing. Please contact the LUF office at 344-5980 for details on when
they meet or to confirm an event.

Well, the beginning of the Junior Group classes came a little late this year, starting in November, but things are running fairly smoothly with only a few small bumps along the way. We've relocated to the basement kitchen area, where we make good use of the whiteboard for all our brainstorming needs. We're following a social justice theme this year, starting with a curriculum called In Our Hands. We've starting out by exploring what social justice means, and we've discussed what everyone would need to have and do in order to lead harmoniously with everyone else.
In December we'll be discussing issues such as prejudice, poverty and famine, and we'll be choosing a topic for our social justice project that we'll start working on in the new year. Anyone who would like to know more about the junior group programming, or wants to just hang out with us, is welcome to come speak to me downstairs before or after the service.
