Small Groups & Activities

Small groups and activities are part of the inner heart beat of LUF. These are largely generated by friends and members themselves and speak of our own wishes, questions and needs. They also can change very quickly. Here is a list and contacts of much of what is happening. Groups are welcome to help the Webmaster keep this up to date.



Mindfulness Practice Meditation in LUF Hall every Wednesday at 7:30-8:30PM: The Mindfulness Meditation Drop-in provides a place for members of the community to learn about and experience the practice of Mindfulness. The sessions include sitting, walking, movement practice and often short readings. Anyone is welcome to attend by dropping in. No prior knowledge or experience is necessary.  

Tai Chi in LUF Hall most Thursday at 2:00 PM.  Call ahead to check which Thursdays.

Chalice Circle: The STAR Circle (Simple Truths And Reflections) meets on the first Sunday of each month for introspective discussion, from 1-3 pm in the LUF kitchen. Bring a lunch and something to share.  Contact information is through Meaghan Malashewski 683-7212 megshea9(at)yahoo(dot)ca

New Warriors Men's Group This group meets on the first Wednesday of the month at 5:00 pm. Contact Jim Bishop at 767-5297 or Bob Manson at 683-3016.
