Religious Humanism Classes

Rev. Suzanne is offering an Adult Religious Enhancement class on “Religious Humanism.” Classes are held on Monday evenings, 7:00 - 9:00 pm, on March 27th, May 29th, and June 5th. There will be no class on Easter Monday (April 17th).

Topics will include the history of Humanism, definitions of “religious” and “spiritual,” the Humanist Manifestos, the many faces of Humanism [including theist, secular, Buddhist, and feminist], and the idea of reverence.

Short readings will be included before each class. Copies of the first 11 pages of Reason and Reverence by William R. Murry [the dean of Meadville Lombard Theological School when I attended] should be available at the welcoming table. For information, talk to our Administrator, Angie, at 344-5980.

Here in the Northland we live with animals, both within our homes and outside our doors.  Today, let us celebrate their many gifts to us.  Because of severe allergies among us, no real animals [except for us] will be present, but please bring pictures and stories of the animals in your life, and we will bless them all.
